I was my own first client.
I went on the pill at 19. By 25 I was numb — no sex drive, no spark, nothing left for the man I thought I loved. I got off it and I still felt broken. So I left, and I rebuilt myself from zero.
The next decade was the education no one offers you. Functional medicine. Gut healing. A kinesiology degree, CHEK training, women's health and performance, Budokon. And one sentence from my mom that never let go of me: “Why don't you just use the rhythm method?”
For two years, my husband and I used nothing but my own cycle to prevent pregnancy — no app, no pill, no fear. That wasn't a separate chapter from this work. That was the training ground.
We made love freely, without the constant background hum of “what if.” That's a kind of safety most women never get to feel in their own bodies.
Then it got strange. I was coaching women on their guts and hormones — and they kept getting pregnant. I was making women fertile by accident. That's when I knew exactly what this work was. When my husband and I decided it was time, I already knew my body fluently. I was pregnant on the first try.
That's not luck. That's literacy. And it's teachable.
